Travelers Championship Round 3 Highlights

Bradley holds on for lead, Rickie Fowler, Patrick Cantlay and Justin Thomas shoot low to stay in the hunt.

After a thrilling day of low scoring, Keegan Bradley remains on course to win his first title since the 2022 ZOZO Championship as he leads the field by one stroke.

Starting the day in a share of the lead with Denny McCarthy, Bradley started his third round well with three birdies in his first six holes. Things would quieten down after, with Bradley securing six consecutive pars.

With a host of players in touching distance of the lead, Bradley ensured he would have a cushion heading into today’s final round posting three birdies in his final five holes. Bradley’s round of 64 marked the second successive round where he was able to keep his card bogey-free. Continuing to keep his ball out of trouble will be imperative for the American today.

Moving day lived up to its name yesterday with a whole host of players posting low scores to keep their hopes of winning this year’s Traveler’s Championship alive.

Chez Reavie won this tournament back in 2019 and the American recorded his second successive round of 63 to ensure he remains only one stroke behind heading into today’s final round.

Patrick Cantlay made a significant move up the leaderboard yesterday following his third-round 61. Making the most of the accessible pins on the back nine, the Californian secured six birdies in his final closing eight holes to put himself in real contention today.

Rickie Fowler shot a US Open record last week and he was just inches away from shooting a stunning round of 59. Having to settle for a round of 60, he will start six shots behind.

Justin Thomas is a stroke behind his great friend and will start today seven shots behind. After a disappointing season, yesterday’s 62 was one of Thomas’s best rounds of the year and the American will hope to back up that positive display yesterday with another productive round.

Travelers Championship Round 4 Preview

One shot clear of Chez Reavie in second and five clear of Patrick Cantlay in third, Keegan Bradley is the favorite heading into the final round of this year’s Travelers Championship.

Bradley has good form at the Travelers having twice finished inside the top ten and having also been a runner-up at the event. With five PGA titles to his name, Bradley will be hoping to continue his good form over the past three rounds to secure a sixth title today.

Chez Reavie is hot on the heels of his American compatriot and will be hoping to win this tournament for the second time. After a poor year where Reavie has just secured one top-ten finish, it’s been a timely week for the diminutive American who will be carrying a lot of momentum into today’s final round following two consecutive rounds of 63.

Patrick Cantlay rounds out the top three in the betting and is looking to land his first title of the 2023 season. As consistent as they come, Cantlay launched himself into contention following a brilliant round of 61. Cantlay has shown on numerous occasions that he can post low scores and will be hopeful of doing so once more today.

There is every chance that someone in the field can post a low score today and that could mean there could be plenty of value to be found.

Despite not winning last week’s US Open, Rickie Fowler has shown that he is well and truly back and the American will be hoping to build on his stunning round of 60 yesterday. Although today he starts six strokes behind, there is arguably no one in the field hitting the ball better.

World number 1 Scottie Scheffler is lurking. The Texan will start today seven shots off the lead but is more than capable of applying pressure to those at the top of the leaderboard today.
