Valspar Championship R4 Odds & Rd 3 Recap

Yesterday’s third round at this year’s Valspar Championship was a packed pull of action with the lead of the tournament changing throughout the day numerous times. Check for the Valspar Championship R4 Odds below.

Breezy conditions ensured that the Copperhead Course was playing as tough as it could with the players having to constantly battle to salvage crucial pars. At the end of an action-packed eighteen holes, it was round 2 leader Adam Schenk who was able to maintain his one-stroke lead with Jordan Spieth and Tommy Fleetwood starting today day just one stroke behind.

Valspar Championship Round 3 Recap

Adam Schenk started yesterday’s third round holding a narrow one-stroke lead. The American has never won on Tour and a dropped shot on his third hole showed some early signs of nerves.

With madness ensuing all around him, Schenk did a superb job of keeping his composure and was able to par his next seven holes.

A birdie would follow on the par 4 eleventh but that would be canceled out by another bogey on the fifteenth. However, Schenk’s round would change in his final three holes. He would score two birdies to put him one shot clear at the top of the leaderboard heading into today’s final round.

For much of yesterday, it looked like Jordan Spieth would be the man they all had to catch but it was yet another round of ups and downs for the Texan.

Spieth’s round couldn’t have started in more dramatic fashion with a stunning eagle on the first to move him into the lead. Two more birdies would follow on the fifth and eighth with the first of Spieth’s dropped shots coming on the seventh.

It was on the back nine where Spieth’s inconsistency showed its true colors. The American would go on a remarkable run that saw him go bogey, birdie, par, bogey, birdie, bogey, birdie, par, bogey. Unable to keep his ball out of trouble, Spieth will see yesterday as a missed opportunity to have this tournament wrapped up.

Rounding out the top 3 is Tommy Fleetwood. Fleetwood played one of the rounds of the day, recording two birdies and not dropping a single shot. Considering the tricky conditions, it was a brilliant round from the Englishman and if he can repeat the feat today, he will be in with a terrific chance of victory.

2023 Valspar Championship Round 4 Preview

Despite his trials yesterday it is Jordan Spieth who is still the favorite for this year’s Valspar. After yesterday’s dramatic round, you have to think there is no way that Spieth can hit the ball as poorly as he did yesterday, and he has to have a great chance of victory today.

Next in the betting comes Tommy Fleetwood who is looking to win his first-ever PGA Tour title. It’s been a tough few years for the Englishman who has not only lost his PGA card but has also slid down the rankings. Things are finally looking to be on the up for Fleetwood and if he can hit the ball like he did yesterday, he will start today’s final round as the man to beat.

Adam Schenk will start today as the leader but only as the third favorite in the betting. Despite his relatively lowly status in comparison to both Fleetwood and Spieth, Schenk showed yesterday that he is certainly up for the fight and will certainly try to protect his one-stroke lead with everything he has.

Taylor Moore was another player who played well in tough conditions yesterday and the American will start today just two off the lead. If he can limit the mistakes like he did yesterday, he could be one of the better value options of the day.

Another man to keep an eye on is Webb Simpson. It’s been some time since Simpson has found himself in the reckoning but with two successive rounds of 68, it could be argued that nobody is striking the ball better. Another who is just two off the lead, looks for the former major winner to get off to a hot start today.
