After the drama of last week’s Porsche Open, the DP World Tour rumbles on and heads to Sweden for this year’s Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed. One of the most fascinating tournaments in the world, it is one of only a few tournaments where both men and women face off against one another. Here are the latest 2023 Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed Odds.
This is the third iteration of the tournament and so far, the tournament has yielded one winner from each sex.
For this year’s event, the betting looks wide open with players from both the DP World Tour and Ladies European Tour looking to have a great shot of winning.
Alex Noren headlines the field in this year’s Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed. A ten-time winner on the DP World Tour, Noren will be hopeful of winning his eleventh title on home soil. Once ranked as high as eighth in the world, it’s been a frustrating season for the Swede, who hasn’t recorded a top-ten finish since his first event of the year. Having missed four cuts in his last six starts, backing Noren will require a leap of faith, but he is certainly capable of challenging if he can finally piece all the elements of his game together.
Leading the charge for the ladies is the defending champion, Linn Grant. An emphatic nine-stroke winner of the tournament last year, Grant has already won on the Ladies European Tour this season and looks the best betting option from the women’s side of the draw.
Ensuring it’s a trio of Swedes who lead the betting this week, Alexander Bjork has been positioned as the third favorite for the tournament. A model of consistency, Bjork hasn’t missed a cut since last year’s BMW Championship. No player is in better form than Bjork who has finished inside the top ten in three of his last four starts. He finished sixth in the event in its first iteration and will be hoping he can exceed that result this week.
Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre will be hoping for a special week to ignite his season. Seen as a viable contender to make Europe’s Ryder Cup team, it’s been a tough season for the Scot, and he will need to start producing some good golf quickly if he is to have any hopes of making a late push to make the team.
Coming into this week as one of the highest-ranked players in the field, he has three top-ten finishes in his last six events, and he looks to have a decent chance of winning his first tournament since last year’s Italian Open.
Another player looking to reignite any late push for a Ryder Cup place is Frenchman Antoine Rozner.
Rozner started his season on fire – posting a string of top-ten finishes, but since then things have cooled. With only one top-five finish in his last five starts, Rozner will be hoping for a positive season which could spark a strong second half to the season.
One of the most underrated players in this week’s field must be Ewen Ferguson. Ferguson heads to Sweden ranked 139th in the world and has two DP World Tour titles to his name.
With three top finishes in his last six starts, he looks poised to contend for his first title of the year.
Another name to keep an eye on this week could be Klara Spilkova. Spilkova has had a solid year on the Ladies European Tour having placed inside the top five in her last three starts. Clearly hitting the ball well, she will be confident of bringing her recent positive momentum into this week’s event.
