2022 Wyndham Championship Recap

The final event of the 2021-22 regular season took place in North Carolina and Johyung Kim shot 61 on the final day to take the Wyndham Championship by five shots over Sung-J Im and John Huh. 

This was the 10th professional victory for the 20-year-old South Korean and his first on the PGA Tour. With the win, Kim moved to 21st in the World Rankings. 

Scottie Scheffler meanwhile picked up four million dollars without swinging a club. He finished the regular season on top of the Fed Ex points standing and took home the lion’s share of the 20 million dollar pot.

Coming up this week is the St Jude Championship

The PGA Tour has reached the playoffs and 122 of the125  on the PGA tour will tee it up in the St Jude Championship. Only Daniel Berger, Tommy Fleetwood, and Lanto Griffin will miss the event.  

Rory McIlroy is the favorite according to our partners at JazzSports at 12/1 with World number one Scottie Scheffler next at 14/1. The red-hot Tony Finau is next in the betting at 15/1 after consecutive victories in the 3M Open and Rocket Mortgage.

Defending Fed Ex champion Patrick Cantlay along with British Open Champion Cameron Smith are next at 16/1.  Our pick this week is Cameron Smith who finished 5th last year when this was a WGC event.
