Corey Connors won the Valero Texas Open for the second time in five years for his second career win on the PGA Tour. Rookie Sam Stevens finished a shot back with Sam Ryder and Matt Kuchar tied for third. Patrick Rodgers started the final round with a shot in front but a 73 dropped him to 5th. With the victory, Connors is now ranked 28th in the world rankings.
Four-time major winner Brooks Koepka shower is in good form with a victory in the LIV event taking place in Orlando. The win was Koepka ‘s second in his past six starts and the first player on the tour to have multiple victories. Sebastian Munoz finished a shot back in second place. Torque G C captained by Munoz took the team title. 18 members of the LIV tour will be heading to Augusta to play in the Masters.
The focus of the golf world will fall once again on Augusta, Georgia for the 87th edition of the Masters. The 18 LIV players will join Tiger Woods and the PGA players in one of the most anticipated golf tournaments in history.
Defending Champion Scottie Scheffler is favored at 7/1 with Rory McIlroy next at +750. Jon Rahm is 9/1 to win his first green jacket. 2015 winner Jordan Spieth is 15/1. Justin Thomas rounds out the top five at 18/1. Five-time winner Tiger Woods is 50/1 but our pick this week is Brooks Keopka at 22/1.
