CDB Highlights #16: The Honda Classic

It was an exciting weekend in the golf events around the world. Let us dive into what happened in The Honda Classic. Also, we are going to take a look at the schedule for the upcoming competition. Here is our CDB Highlights #16.

The Honda Classic

Sepp Straka became the first Austrian to win on the PGA Tour, overcoming a five-shot deficit Sunday to win the Honda Classic.

Daniel Berger had no such luck at The Honda Classic; he was 4 over par on Sunday and finished fourth.

Straka, a 28-year-old who was born in Austria but has lived in the U.S. state of Georgia for half of his life, hit a birdie putt on 18 to edge the veteran Shane Lowry, a former Open Championship winner, by one stroke to become the first Austrian-born winner on the PGA Tour.

What’s next in the PGA Tour?

The PGA tour runs two events this week; the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Puerto Rico Open.

As Always, the Arnold Palmer Invitational has drawn a strong field highlighted by world number one Jon Rahm, who is 8/1 according to JazzSports.

On the other hand, Matthias Schwab is the betting favorite in the Puerto Rico Open odds.
