It was an exciting weekend of golf events around the world. Let us dive into the 2022 Australian Open and the Hero World Challenge Highlights. Also, we are going to take a look at the odds of the QBE Shootout in Florida.
The Australian golfers near the top of the leaderboard all stumbled down the stretch as Adrian Meronk shot a 66 to seal the victory in the Australian Open by 5 shots. 2009 winner Adam Scott finished 2nd and Min Woo Lee was third. Tournament favorite Cameron Smith missed the cut after a poor third round.
Viktor Hovland overcame a rough 18th hole to win his second consecutive Hero World challenge. Scottie Scheffler finished two shots back in the second. Considering all the controversy surrounding the limited fields on the LIV tour this event had only 20 players and awarded enough points that the win moved Hovland from 12th to 8th in the World Rankings.
The QBE Shootout at Naples Florida is next for the PGA players. 12 two-man teams will play over three days. Jason Day and Billy Horschel are favored in the event at 5/1.
