Brian Harman turned back every challenge in the British Open, from big names to bad weather, and took his place among major champions Sunday with a victory that was never seriously in doubt with a six shot victory at Royal Liverpool.

Harman took the lead on Friday morning with the second of four straight birdies early in the second round. He never trailed over the final 51 holes, leading by five shots after the second round and five shots after the third round.

Masters champion Jon Rahm birdied his last hole for a 70 to make it a four-way tie for second place with Tom Kim, Sepp Straka, and Jason Day. With all the majors completed for the year, Scottie Scheffler sits in the top spot in the world rankings with Rory Mcllroy 2nd and Jon Rahm 3rd.  Brian Harman is now 10th

2023 Barracuda Championship Highlights

Akshay Bhatia secured his first PGA Tour victory by defeating Patrick Rodgers in a sudden-death playoff in the 2023 Barracuda Championship taking place in Reno, Nevada.

Coming up next

The PGA tour heads to Minnesota for the 3M Championship taking place at TPC Twin Cities.  Tony Finau is the defending champion and is the 12-1 favorite in the 2023 3M Open odds. He’s followed by Cameron Young at 14/1, Sungjae Im 16/1, Hideki Matsuyama 18/1 and Justin Thomas at 20/1 on the PGA odds board. 

Our pick this week is Cameron Young, who is looking for his first PGA tour victory.  He was near the top of the British Open leader board and we thing this will be his week to shine.
